Places to fish

Mille Lacs

Mille Lacs is a lake in Northern Minnesota, it is the state’s second-largest lake. Mille Lacs contains several species of fish. The species include Walleye, Northern Pike, Smallmouth and Largemouth Bass, Muskie, Tulibee, and Panfish. My experience there consisted of catching some Walleye and Smallmouth Bass. The lake has many rock and sand bars at the bottom. Mille Lacs is a good spot to both open water fish and Ice fish.

Winona East & West Lakes

Winona East and West lakes are two lakes in Winona, MN. They are next to the campus and the lakes are right next to each other; a road separates them. These lakes are home to many species including Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike, Crappie, and other panfish. When I went, all I caught were a few bass.

Claremont Pond

My dad’s friend has a private pond in Claremont that we use pretty often. Within this pond, you can catch Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike, Crappie, and panfish. We go open water fishing and ice fishing here. This spot is nice to use because it’s our nearest spot to fish in.
